Back in the Saddle

I'm going over the five blogs I've written since I retired, to see what I've mentioned but not gotten around to. I made a couple of references to the Louisiana Grand York Rite Sessions that were held in March. I'll just mention that I was elected Illustrious Grand Captain of the Guard. (With five bucks that'll get me a large cup of coffee at CC's.) But that's why I was representing the Most Illustrious Grand Master in my last post. (I just noticed that I didn't tell the Rainbow Girls to get off my lawn.)

A lot has happened in July. My mother passed away on the 10th. I was getting ready to drive to Alabama to see her one last time when I got the news. As I mentioned earlier, she was 97 so it was not unexpected.

I said a lot has happened, but I can't recall much of it right now. This past Wednesday was National Chicken Wing Day. I'm planning to blog about that next week. (We'll see how that goes.)

Until then you kids get off my lawn.
