I don't think I've blogged on a Tuesday before.  (It might be Wednesday, I haven't made up my mind yet.)

I still haven't figured out why my two countdowns are off by a day.  I'm actually writing this on Monday, btw, and

says I have 258 days, while

says 257.

I don't have "including last day" checked on the first of those, so I thought the other might be, but then I realized the discrepency should be the other way around.  Oh, well.

(I think I've figured it out:  The first link, the calculator, (which now reads 257) counts whole days.  The other is a countdown, and (at this point, lunchtime on Tuesday) I have 256 and a half.

Anyway, in my first blog I noted that I had a "kiloday" until I could retire.  Either Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on which countdown you believe) I will have 256 days left (which any semi-computer literate 21st Century American will recognize as 25% of my original time.)  So I started this blog 768 days ago, and I can retire in 256.  (Or 257.)
